Parliamentarians for Women's Health

Interns worked with parliamentarians in Botswana, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia and Tanzania. They performed audits of existing legislation; assessed how legislation was implemented; identified gaps in legislation; made suggestions for ways in which legislation could be strengthened; and helped build and foster national alliances and community partnerships that enhanced sharing, learning and collaboration among parliamentarians, women living with HIV and AIDS, and other agencies and partners at district, national, regional and international levels.
