Youth Skills Development

The Youth Skills Development Project works to produce a cadre of young people who can become social role models for young people and act as advocates for issues relating to human rights, stigma, gender, sexuality and HIV and AIDS awareness and prevention.

The project involves young people in Mamelodi, Atteridgeville, Soshanguve and Pretoria Central aged between 15 and 28 who already belong to a community group or youth organisation and who are committed to self development and community empowerment. The project also works with marginalised groups such as young gay people and commercial sex workers.
