Students have access to a wellness team of a specialist HIV clinician, nutritionist, social worker, psychologist and counsellor. This team also facilitates access to the national ARV rollout for students needing treatment. Since 2004, the CSA has been integrally involved in preparing individuals to start treatment and promotes ARV adherence. The Centre is part of the Adherence Networking Group which has developed resources and training materials on adherence for adults and children.
The CSA also runs a support groups on the campuses of the University for both staff and students who are infected with, or affected by, HIV/AIDS.
