Youth Skills Development

Top level CSA Project Archive

The Youth Skills Development Project worked to produce a cadre of young people who could become social role models for young people and act as advocates for issues relating to human rights, stigma, gender, sexuality and HIV and AIDS awareness and prevention.

The project involved young people in Mamelodi, Atteridgeville, Soshanguve and Pretoria Central aged between 15 and 28 who already belonged to a community group or youth organisation and who were committed to self development and community empowerment. The project also worked with marginalised groups such as young gay people and commercial sex workers.
