Charmaine has a natural sciences degree from UP and is studying for a master’s in food science. She started out as a volunteer of the CSA and now helps to plan and run the entry-level course for CSA volunteers. She is also a VCT counsellor at the university’s HIV testing service – she also helps to administer this programme with Ray Lazarus. Charmaine is involved in various activities for students and is required to train, support and engage students on a range of matters. She also represents the centre on various bodies and liaises with the medical school on matters of training.
