Aids Law Project
Discrimination against people with HIV and AIDS undermines society's efforts to prevent HIV infection and limit the impact of the HIV/AIDS epidemic on our society. Discrimination is also contrary to internationally accepted principles of human rights. The AIDS Law Project operates according to the principles set out in the United Nations International Guidelines on HIV and Human Rights.

Canadian HIV / AIDS Legal Network - Reseau juridique canadien VIH/sida
The Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network is a national organization engaged in research, eduction and advocacy to promote legal and policy responses to HIV/AIDS that respect, protect and fulfil the human rights of people living with HIV/AIDS and those vulnerable to HIV/AIDS. The Network produces the quarterly publication "HIV/AIDS Policy & Law Review" that reports on HIV/AIDS-related legal and policy developments in Canada and internationally, as well as a wide range of research reports, policy papers, info sheets and advocacy materials on various HIV/AIDS-related human rights issues.

Centre for Human Rights - University of Pretoria
The Centre for Human Rights of the Faculty of Law of the University of Pretoria, is one of the most active human rights institutions on the African continent. The primary focus area of the Centre is human rights law in Africa. Highlights in its history since the Centre was established in 1986 include the involvement of members of the Centre in the writing of the South African Constitution and Bill of Rights, and the contribution the Centre has made to legal education in respect of human rights on the continent through its academic programmes and research outputs.

Treatment Action Campaign
The Treatment Action Campaign (TAC) was launched on 10 December 1998, International Human Rights Day. Its main objective is to campaign for greater access to treatment for all South Africans, by raising public awareness and understanding about issues surrounding the availability, affordability and use of HIV treatments. TAC campaigns against the view that AIDS is a ?death sentence?.
